Congratulations to Emma Lennon on winning the solo singing at last Sundays County Scor Sinsir Final in the Abbey C.B.S, Newry. Hard Luck to the Ceili dancers and the Novelty act who did the club proud with strong performances. Emma will now progress to the Ulster Semi – Final which will take place in Banbrigde on the 10^th March.

Membership Reminder

Annual membership fees are now due for all club members.

Fees should be paid to Club Registrars Sean McGennity and Anthony Crozier

Fees are as follows;

Adult – Player Male £50

Adult – Player Female & Player student £30

Adult – Non-player £30

Youth – Under 18 @ 01/01/2012 £20

Nursery – Under 10 @ 01/01/2012 £10

Family Membership £80 ( 2 adults - parents/guardian and children under 18 )

Social Membership - £15

Membership forms must be completed by new members and by all Under 18 members

Cumann Na Bunscoil Down Handball Finals

Last Saturday 18^th February Saval GAC held a very successful Cumman Na Bunscoil Down Handball Finals. Participating boys and Girls represented St. Colman’s Saval, St Patrick’s Saul, Newry Bunscoil, Downpatrick Bunscoil, Ballyholland Primary School, Holy Family Teoconnaught, Our Lady and St. Patrick’s Downpatrick, St. Mary’s Dunsford and St. Patrick’s Legamaddy. We would like to say thanks to the all those who helped organised the event. Thanks also to the players who played such great handball. After some very competitive games the results were: .

U-11 Boy's Singles Ruari Quinn St. Patrick's, Saul beat Eoin McMullan St. Mary's, Dunsford.

U-11 Girl's Singles Rachel McKeown Our Lady and St. Patrick's, Downpatrick beat Cailiosa Ni Dhuill Newry Bunscoil.
U-11 Boy's Doubles Rhys Cunningham and Aiden Harney St. Patrick's, Saul beat Seamus Havern and Cormac Turley St. Colman's Saval.
U-13 Boy's Singles Tim Prenter St. Patrick's, Legamaddy
beat Ronan Murphy Holy Family, Teconnaught.
