The mums football team held a very successful ladies night out last Saturday in the club. The evening began with a short DVD photo history of the team achievements/milestones which included the Ulster Blitz which was held in Saval in July 2010, the Croke Park adventure in August, through the National Blitz in Portmarnock in October of that year. January 2011 marked another milestone with the team part in the Club's Awards Night; with Andrea Magee receiving Sports Person of the year and our captain Imelda Fearon taking the inaugural Player of the Year award. In May they travelled to Kildare to take part in Carbury GAC Blitz, Drumragh Blitz was to follow in June. The following month Saval held it's own successful blitz, in September the Ulster Blitz beckoned followed by the Newry Mitchell's blitz. The ladies travelled once again to the National Blitz in October , the season was still not over with an invitation to play an exhibition game in Clones on Ulster Ladies Finals Day. The craic was good and another night is in the planning!!! A big thank you to Sheelagh for providing the music on the night
