Michael Havern wins 2nd Saval Golf Outing

in Ardee

 

Saturday the 26th May seen the 2nd outing of the new season, played for once in beautiful sunny but windy conditions. Michael Havern shot an excellent score of 37 pts to claim first prize. Michael was pushed all the way by Captain Barrie McCoy (35pts). The biggest surprise of the day was the longest drive being won by the one and only Gerry McCarthy, even with all the young big hitters on display, well done Gerry, all the praying in Lourdes must have helped.

Player of the Year – after 2no outings the Captain Barrie McCoy is leading the way, hotly pursued by the Sands’ cousins Mick & Garry and big hitting Michael Havern.


Gross Player of the Year – also after 2no outings the Captain Barrie McCoy is leading the way again chased by the Sands’ cousins Mick & Seamus, with Michael Redmond, Francis Fallon and Michael Havern not far away.
