ACFL Division 1

Bryansford V Saval

Fri 8th Oct @ 7.30pm

Bryansford 2-15 Saval 1-9

Saval travelled to Bryansford for their last game of the season. The game was played in very wet conditions under the floodlights. Bryansford certainly started the game as the more dominant side. With the score six points to Saval’s one point, it looked like the home side would run away with the game. However, Saval fought back to provide a more even score as the first half came to a close. 14 minutes into the second half, Bryansford were awarded a penalty, but they were denied a score from a Marty Poland save. This should have kicked Saval back to make more of an impression on the scoreboard. However, after the loss of Stephen Kearney due to an injury, Saval failed to come back. Bryansford finished the game as the stronger side.
