U14 Girls off to winning start!!

Saval 2 - 10 Downpatrick 0-5

Saval U14 girls started their League campaign in style with a convincing team performance over a strong Downpatrick side on Sunday. The game ebbed and flowed from one end of the field to the other in the opening stages until Saval opened the scoring with a great goal and point from Aiobhean O'Hare. Downpatrick scored two unanswered points until the Saval girls stepped up their game with points from Ciara Byrne, Tiarna Tumilty and Niamh Falloon. The second half was end to end but Saval finally stamped their authority on the match as Ciara Byrne contributed with a great individual goal along with a long range point, Holly McGrade with a point and Aiobhean O Hares with a further four points. Downpatrick managed to score three points to make the final score Saval 2 - 10 Downpatrick 0-5. Best for Saval Tiarna Kerr, Aishling Clarke, Cliona Byrne and Aiobhean O Hare.
