Glenn V St. Colmans (Saval/Ballyholland)

Sunday 27th November

Full Time Score:  Glenn 1-10, St Colman’s 1-15

St Colmans travelled the short distance to Glenn and were met with terrible underfoot conditions. St Colmans started brightly with points from Keelan Rice and Paul Quinn. St Colmans dominated the first half but they let Glenn slip into the game with a goal after twenty minutes and three points from Matty Bagnal meant the home side went into half time 1-4, to St Colmans 0-9. Knowing they had to win by four points to get out of the league stages of the competition, St Colmans made it difficult for Glenn.  The mid-field showed a great display of possession of football under the undesirable conditions. The star of the second half was Rowan Turley scoring four points and showed some brilliant high fielding.  With 21mins to go St Colmans sealed their fate with a Keelan Haughey goal. Declan McNally, Mickey and Adam Clarke were outstanding in defence and upfront Brendan Turley, Rowan Turley and Keelan Rice made a great impact in trying conditions.
