U21 All County League

Drumaness  V St. Colmans in Liatroim

Sunday 4th December

Full Time Score:  Drumaness 0-6, St Colmans 2-18

St Colmans travelled to a cold Liatriom on Sunday last for the semi-final of the ‘B’ U21 Championship. St Colmans started strong with six points in the first five minutes. The first half saw St Colmans as the dominant side. Paul Quinn gave St Colmans their first goal of the game after ten minutes and Keelan Rice followed suit in the sixteenth minute of the game.  An injury saw the captain Liam Turley taken off, however St Colmans were strong enough to make the loss of Liam cause little disruption. St Colmans sailed into half time leading 2-10 to Drumaness’ four points.

The game followed a similar pattern in the second half. St Colmans scored eight points to Drumaness’ two points. The managers emptied the subs bench and all five subs had a run out. No doubt a harder game awaits in next week’s final in the same venue: Sunday 11th December @ 12.30pm Liatriom.

Declan McNally, Mickey and Niall McQuillan were outstanding in defence and upfront Brendan Turley, Paul Quinn and Keelan Rice made life difficult for the Drumaness forwards.

TEAM: Jonathan McConville, Conor Goodman, Declan McNally, Niall Mcquillan, Adam Clarke, Mickey Clarke, Christopher Havern (0-1), Liam Turley, Niall Madine (0-1), Brendan Turley (0-1), Keelan Haughey (0-3), Rowan Turley (0-2), Paul Quinn (1-3), Callum Lennon, Keelan Rice (1-7).  Subs: Eamon Magee, Kevin Morgan, Tommy Kane, Dee McGovern, K Loughran.
